Set in Pittsburgh’s Hill District in 1977, this gritty and compassionate comedy explores the struggles of the drivers at a gypsy cab company. A captivating chapter in Wilson’s magnificent 10-play cycle reflecting the African American experience in the 20th Century.

SIDE DISH
The Deep Dish Theater Company will present an evening of readings on baseball, “Fall Classics,” on Friday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. Admission for the event is a suggested donation of $5 or a non-perishable food item, with proceeds to benefit the Inter-faith Council’s Food Bank.

The last play by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Heidi Chronicles concerns a conservative college student and the celebrated liberal professor who charges him with plagiarism. A fierce and funny look at the struggle to preserve academic freedom.
The Deep Dish Book Book Selection for this production is On Beauty, by Zadie Smith. A discussion of the book, free and open to the public, will be held at 6:30 p.m., prior to the performance on Thursday, November 13.
